Rates API
The plans above deliver the rate into your system for you. The Rates API is the other direction: your own system asks RielSync for the rate over a simple HTTP call, and you decide what to do with it. It suits a till that needs the day's rate at the point of sale, or a team that would rather wire it up themselves. See the documentation.

Can I switch platforms later?
Yes. Moving to a different system, or adding a second one, just means reconnecting an API.
What happens if I cancel?
Sync stops at the end of your billing period. Your rate history stays exportable for 30 days after.
Do I need the API if I already have a connected system?
No. If RielSync already writes the rate into your system, that is the whole job done. The API is for cases where something else also needs the number, such as a till reading it at the point of sale, or a script of your own.
When does adding or removing the API take effect?
Adding it takes effect immediately. Removing it takes effect at the end of the cycle you have already paid for, and your keys keep working until that date. Keys are not deleted if access ends, so they start working again if you add it back.
